Cherry Blossoms

I love this idea! What a great way to bring the outside in by using real tree branches. This would be an adorable children's room or a fabulous idea for an enchanted wedding. Of course real cherry blossoms could be used for a wedding but what if you want this in the middle of winter?

How Sweet It Is

I saw this video on a great blog I found, The Eclectic Owl, and just had to post it here. How sweet and creative is this proposal!? And they really truly are in love and you can see it written all over their face.

Christmas Time

Now that Thanksgiving is officially over we can officially begin celebrating Christmas. We'll ease into this season slowly since it some how has sneaked up on us. So lets start with creative uses for Christmas lights in the bedroom!

Inspiration Wednesday

So true that life changes and not a single thing stays the same. And since I'm moved so much from home to college to Boston and now to the Vineyard, I've made some amazing friends and I know that we will always, always be best friends.

Scan Away

Lately I've been planning and booking my flights home for the holidays and I came across Cargo Collective. They created a T-Shirt design that is printed with metallic ink so when scanned at the aiport security check point, the security personal sees how you really feel. Now, I believe in full body scanning. These people see hundreds of naked bodies a day, they are not concerned with my extra 5 pounds of turkey dinner. They're just looking for danger. So I say, scan away. I would love to get a shirt printed with "Hello There" or "Go Ahead, Take a Look" just to see their reaction.

Cascade Braid

Have you ever seen a cascade braid before? My friend Lindsey taught me how to do a fishtail braid, which is equally as beautiful, but this is totally new. You have to see this tutorial here.

Fishtail braid...how beautiful is that with colored strands of hair

Hey Four Eyes

I'm currently in the market for a new pair of glasses. Being as blind as I am, glasses have been a part of my life since 3rd grade. I came across this company, Spex Club, through one of my favorite blogs, A Cup of Jo, and you can "virtually" try on any pair of glasses. And they are all $88 with prescription included! Steal I must say.

pantry labels

These are so adorable! Shabby Chic pantry labels from Love, Mae. After living in the vineyard for a while, I can see why people invest in these airtight jars to store kitchen goods. And these labels make any kitchen so much cuter.

Fishnet Nails

Lately I can not help myself but to paint my nails. There’s nothing like looking down and seeing a beautiful manicure, and I always notice other manicures too. One trend that is really helping the cause are the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail strips. I couldn't believe how easy these were to use. As long as you really follow the directions to a T they will turn out great, and last forever. Mine started to chip after two weeks! two weeks! Where else does that happen?

Eleven Eleven Eleven

Happy 11-11-11 Day!
I have always loved this day, being that eleven is my lucky number. Funny story: back in 1998 when I was a mere 15 year old girl, I always thought 11-11-11 would be my wedding date. This is by no means a hint to APM its just funny how we all think about how our life should be at a certain point and how different life plays out. I'm happier now than ever and thats just the way it should be.

This photo just incompasses all great things in one little snack. Jam, fresh bread, and cheese. And as you can tell by this post, I really do enjoy such things.

Back In The Game

(rock sculpture on the vineyard)

It's about time I get back into the swing of things! I'm not sure about blog etiquette but I took a long sabbatical from blog posting and I decided to rejoin my previous blog instead of creating a new one. Proper? Not sure but it just seems right :)
So there is so much to catch up on! I've had a big move and an even bigger career change. I am now living full time on Martha's Vineyard and am starting my own event planning firm. Very exciting! This is more of a Welcome Home post and I can not wait to start blogging again!
