Being home for the holidays really makes we appreciate this quote. Sort of tongue and cheek because I truly love my family and wish we lived closer, but there's a big difference between living in the same house and living 20 minutes away. :)

True Works of Art

I came across these through Free People's Blog and could not believe these works of art. Last winter I actually took a trip to Harvard's geological museum and was really amazed by what our great earth can create, and Carly Waito really transformed it to paper with her amazing oil paintings. Yep, you read that right, oil paintings! Not photographs, not fancy images. Just an amazing artist at her best.
